Connecticut Governor, Dannel Malloy, to speak on family-owned and small businesses’ impact on the Connecticut economy
The Mark Lapine Endowment for Families in Business, a foundation committed to providing resources for families in business in Stamford and Fairfield County, in partnership with First County Bank and University of New Haven’s Center for Family Business, announced today that it will be hosting an event with Governor Dannel Malloy at 8:30am on October 7, 2015 at the Italian Center of Stamford.
The Mark Lapine Endowment for Families in Business is excited to host The Connecticut Economy & Its Impact on Small & Family Businesses: A Conversation with Gov. Dannel Malloy. Malloy will speak to a group of local business owners on his view on the impact that small and family-owned businesses make to the Connecticut economy. In addition, there will be an opportunity to participate in a question and answer session.
“We are so fortunate to have Governor Malloy take the time to visit with us to discuss the climate of family business in Connecticut,” said Mark Lapine, chairman of the board of Lapine. “In addition, we have Harriet Jones of WNPR to lead what will surely be an insightful discussion and truly unique experience for the small business owners of Fairfield County.”
The event will be moderated by Harriet Jones of WNPR. Jones has covered a wide array of topics unique to Connecticut since joining the WNPR team in 2000, and also offers an international perspective from her time at the BBC.
The Mark Lapine Endowment for Families in Business is looking forward to its third major event and providing the unique opportunity for business owners of Fairfield County to meet and speak with the governor. Founded in 2013 as a partnership between Lapine, Inc., First County Bank and the University of New Haven Center for Family Business, the goal of the Mark Lapine Endowment for Families in Business is to provide small and family-owned businesses with the information and resources that address the unique needs of such businesses and to help them flourish.
