First County Bank Chairman and CEO, Rey Giallongo, and First County Bank were among the honorees recognized at the “2013 Celebration of Stamford Senior Center’s Champions” held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Stamford. The Center’s mission is to provide programs that will help all seniors to be active, healthy and contributing members of the community. The Center has received First County Bank Foundation grants since 2009, most recently for its Health & Wellness Programs.
“The senior segment is very important to us,” said Giallongo. “From our First County Advisors to our Bank products, we go the extra mile providing services that are of particular interest to them. The success of the Bank comes from our customers. The Foundation’s grants are a return to the community for the Bank’s success, and it’s exciting to see funds going toward our senior citizens.”
Giallongo accepted the award on behalf of all employees of First County Bank and Maria Sturges of First County Advisors, who is a board member of the Stamford Senior Center. For more information about the Center, visit: stamfordsc.org.
