The aftermath of Hurricane Sandy has been one of the most popular posts on Facebook and other social media sites in the last couple of days. Thankfully everyone in the First County Bank family has weathered the storm pretty well. We had a couple of evacuations, a number of trees down on our folks’ homes and the power is still out for a lot of us. As of this morning, four branches remain without power – Darien, Greenwich, Westport and Shippan. As a community bank, we’re here to help you with your financial recovery.
If you are a First County Bank customer and have been impacted by the storm and the Bank’s closure, proactive waivers will be applied to the following fees from October 29th through November 2nd:
- Overdraft protection
- Nonsufficient funds
- Late payments for all credit products
We will make every effort to waive these fees systematically but please see your branch manager or account officer if these fees do get applied to your accounts.
We realize that it is important during this time to have easy access to cash. Our ATM network has been replenished and remember you have access to 38,000 ATMs within the continental US in the Allpoint network, surcharge-free. For details about our partnership with Allpoint click here.
Please note you have access to your accounts to pay bills or make transfers through our online banking system and through our mobile banking platform. Our online banking system is available to customers in each of our branches at a dedicated kiosk if needed.
