Today is the first day of summer and with it comes record high temperatures and it’s hot! The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory in many parts of the state including Stamford and Greenwich. While many of you may be heading to the nearest beach for some relief, here are some precautionary heat safety tips to follow:
- Stay inside in air conditioned rooms
- Avoid strenuous activity and alcohol
- Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, particularly between noon and 4 p.m.
