Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
And leave a trail she has and continues to do so. Whether it’s businesses she’s led for 37 years or non-profits she’s run, she not only leaves a trail, but also makes a significant difference in the lives of the people she meets and works with. She’s a distinguished business woman, an honorable citizen and a role model for leadership in our community. She has dedicated countless hours to organizations such as Stamford Museum & Nature Center and Stamford Symphony and to companies such as Pitney Bowes.
Her commitment to our community and the relationships she cultivates is one of many reasons she was chosen to be a member of the corporation of First County Bank. And has remained a valued member for 4 years.
It is with great pleasure that I congratulate Juanita James for her most recent accolade – being named president and chief executive officer of the Fairfield County Community Foundation, a Foundation that supports initiatives in areas such as education, science, culture and the environment throughout Fairfield County. This is a huge honor and we at First County Bank are excited for both Juanita and for the FCCF as we anticipate the many new trails she will blaze in our community.
