This is the third consecutive year First County Bank is sponsoring the Summer Concert Series at Calf Pasture Beach. The $7,500 sponsorship ensures all 11 concerts are free and open to the public. The theme this year is tribute bands: Frank Sinatra, Buddy Holly, The Mammas & Pappas, Billy Joel, Woodstock and the Beatles. The weekly concerts typically attract 1000 to 1500 people and begin June 22 and continue through Sept. 7.
“These are fabulous events that the entire family can attend – and they are free. First County Bank is happy to continue our sponsorship of this year’s 2011 Summer Concert Series,” said Rey Giallongo, president of First County Bank. “Many of our employees, customers and their families enjoy the concerts and other entertainment offered by Norwalk’s Recreation and Parks Department.”
“As mayor of the City of Norwalk, and on behalf of our residents, I want to thank First County Bank for its continued generosity in sponsoring the City of Norwalk’s 2011 Summer Concerts and entertainment before and after our July 3 fireworks display,” said Mayor Richard Moccia.
