“First County Bank has positioned its mortgage lending department for growth as the mortgage industry continues to recover,” explained Rey Giallongo, president of First County Bank. “The changing market has allowed the bank to assemble an experienced and knowledgeable management team, as industry veteran Gus Drakakis attests to.”

“First County Bank’s goal is to close loans on time, every time,” Giallongo said, adding, “The capacity to originate many times our current volume combined with our local decision-making capability will help us achieve this goal.”
“I look forward to helping First County grow its residential mortgage lending business,” said Drakakis. “My experience coupled with the breadth and depth of our originators and branch network will significantly impact the borrowers in lower Fairfield County.”
